Speedstar is today India’s biggest athletic hunt with more than 30,000 participants across the country.

The talent hunt was launched in in 2012, held under the aegis of AFI (Athletics Federation of India) and endorsed by India’s sprint queen P.T. Usha.

The hunt was conceived with a purpose to create awareness about athletics.

In its first edition, Speedstar reached out to 12 cities, 10000 participants, 500 schools across 3 age categories (U12, U14 and U16). 6 winners were chosen to train in Australia with Sharon Hannan - who is renowned to train Olympic medalists. One of the 6 winners will be adopted by KOOH Sports and will receive sponsorships to progress a career in Athletics.

Speedstar Season 2 reached out to 10 cities, 25000+ participants and 1700+ schools. Participation added for Under 10, extending the event format to 4 age categories (U10, U12, U14 and U16). 8 winners per age category across India were chosen to participate in the Finale. 6 Finale winners went to Australia and were trained by Sharon Hannan. 2 winners received cash prizes.
